Computer centre at NIPER Raebareli has high end desktops computers which are connected in network to serves the needs of faculty, staff and students. In addition to Windows 8-10, Linux operating systems, this centre has general software like MS Office 2007, Antivirus and other free software. This centre is equipped with internet connectivity which allows the users to access to the Email, internet and etc. Other computer related accessories including high speed and network laser printer (colour and black & white) and scanners are also available. NIPER campus is connected with Wi-FI zone including Library, Classroom and seminar room.The services provided by the Centre.

Faculty and students are requested to apply for  the available services using respective forms. Hardcopy of the form dully forwarded by respective Head/ Registrar may be submitted to the Computer Section 

Guidelines & Policies


This policy is meant for all users of NIPER Raebareli Network and it outlines the responsible use of the Computers and Network Infrastructure at NIPER Raebareli.

The use of the Internet connection and network resources is a privilege afforded to NIPER Raebareli faculty, staff and students. It is not a right. Institute is committed to providing a stable computing environment to its students, faculty, and staff. In the unlikely event of an actual loss or corruption of data stored on a college system, the college and associated employees cannot be held financially responsible.


Statement of Policy
All individuals utilizing the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and network facilities of NIPER Raebareli are expected to comply with the following Acceptable Use Policy.
By accessing or using these services, every user agrees to abide by these terms and conditions.

1. [Content]

I accept full responsibility for all activities and content associated with my access to the NIPER Raebareli network. If I connect my personal computer or device to the Institute’s network, I am accountable for the data stored on it and for anything made accessible to other users. In cases where I use systems, accounts, or digital spaces provided by NIPER Raebareli, I will ensure that the materials and files stored in those spaces comply with institutional and legal norms. This includes all digital assets such as departmental systems, file servers, emails, and cloud storage assigned to me.

2. [Network]

I understand that the network bandwidth and infrastructure are shared resources meant for academic and official use. I shall not engage in any activity that may disrupt, overload, or interfere with the performance of the network. Tampering with network hardware, altering configurations, or extending connectivity to unauthorized devices is strictly prohibited. I will not share my connection or act as a proxy or intermediary for others. Repeated misuse may result in the permanent withdrawal of network access.

3. [Academic Use]

The IT facilities of NIPER Raebareli are provided exclusively for educational, research, and administrative purposes. I will not use them for personal business, commercial ventures, or to host third-party services. I shall refrain from publishing, transmitting, or distributing content that is illegal, offensive, or inconsistent with Indian law, including provisions under the Information Technology Act, 2000.

4. [Identity]

I shall not misrepresent my identity in any electronic communication or network activity. I will not use institutional resources to harass, threaten, or defame any individual or organization. All communications made using NIPER Raebareli’s IT systems must reflect integrity, professionalism, and respect for others.

5. [Privacy]

I will respect the privacy and confidentiality of others’ data and digital assets. Attempting to access, modify, copy, or delete files, user accounts, or information belonging to others without explicit permission is a violation of this policy.

6. [Monitoring]

I acknowledge that all IT services provided by NIPER Raebareli may be subject to monitoring for administrative, security, or legal purposes. This may include tracking bandwidth usage or inspecting network traffic when required. I authorize the Institute to conduct network scans or security checks on my connected systems to ensure overall protection and efficiency of the institutional network.

7. [Viruses]

I am responsible for maintaining my devices with updated antivirus protection and operating system patches. I will take appropriate steps to keep my system free from malware, spyware, trojans, worms, and other harmful software that may compromise network safety.

8. [File Sharing]

I shall not use the Institute’s IT network to download, distribute, or share copyrighted or unlawful materials. Electronic resources provided by the Central Library, such as e-journals, databases, and e-books, are to be used solely for educational and research purposes. Automated tools, crawlers, or bots for mass downloading are not permitted. Any misuse of these resources will attract disciplinary action as per Institute rules.

9. [Security]

I will not take any action that may weaken or breach the network security of NIPER Raebareli.
Attempting to bypass firewalls, modify access rules, or set up unauthorized servers (web, mail, proxy, etc.) visible to external users is strictly prohibited. In case of any security threat, the Institute reserves the right to suspend network connectivity or deactivate user accounts to protect institutional data.

10. [Penalties]

Any misuse of IT infrastructure or violation of this Acceptable Use Policy will result in disciplinary or administrative action as per NIPER Raebareli regulations. Depending on the severity, penalties may include suspension of network privileges, cancellation of access rights, or further legal proceedings.

National Knowledge Network (NKN)


NIPER-Raebareli is part of NKN Project and connected with NKN Network. NKN has already connected over 1580 institutions under various categories throughout the country.National Knowledge Network (NKN) project is aimed at establishing a strong and robust internal Indian network which will be capable of providing secure and reliable connectivity.NKN is intended to connect all the knowledge and research institutions in the country using high bandwidth / low latency network. Knowledge and resource sharing can be achived among Institute using NKN Network.
